Terms of Sale
The seller and the assortment
The seller is Broadbent Design Studio LLC, company registration 20258428806, at 47 Princes Pine, Norwalk, CT 06850. Questions and complaints: [email protected]; telephone +1(860)-354-4226. The address is for correspondence and mailed returns, not a walk-in showroom or collection point.
The shop sells five garden planter constructions and five outdoor lantern constructions. Each selling unit is one individual new product. Plants, soil, candles and batteries are not included. Read the specific construction, material, dimensions and care information; color choices are variants, not additional products. Photographs identify the shown finish and are not scale drawings.
Prices, availability and the cart
All amounts are in US dollars. Displayed product and delivery prices include all applicable taxes, with no added checkout tax surcharge. Delivery is $8.95, or free when goods total at least $125.00 before delivery. The server calculates prices from the selected SKU and current catalogue, not from browser-supplied totals.
Availability is specific to each finish. A request reserves the selected quantity in the website inventory. The maximum is 10 units per SKU, subject to stock. If circumstances prevent fulfillment, we will contact you rather than substitute a finish or charge you for an unavailable object.
When a request becomes an order
Sending the form records an order request and gives you a reference; it does not take payment and is not automatic acceptance of a sale by us. We contact you to confirm the itemized offer, address, availability, total and delivery estimate. A sale proceeds only after our acceptance and your agreement to the confirmed details. If terms or quantities change, you can decline before agreeing.
If accepted, we provide real manual bank-transfer instructions. Payment is due within 7 calendar days after confirmation. Dispatch follows confirmed receipt of the agreed payment. No automatic email, card processing or automatic payment detection is represented.
Delivery, cancellation and changes
We deliver only to the contiguous 48 US states and DC, not Alaska, Hawaii, territories, international destinations or APO/FPO addresses. Processing takes 1–2 business days after payment and transit is estimated at 3–6 business days, for a total of 4–8 business days. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
To change or cancel a request before dispatch, contact us with the reference promptly. We confirm what can still be stopped. If delay prevents the agreed shipment timing, we will explain the revised estimate and your cancellation/refund options rather than silently extend the order. Problems, remedies and complaints
Report damage, a wrong item or a defect to [email protected] with the reference and description; photographs of the affected object may help but are not a reason to reject an otherwise valid claim. We will discuss a suitable remedy and reasonable documented return postage. The 30-day preference-return window does not remove separate rights for defective or misdescribed goods.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable law makes mandatory. We do not require you to waive consumer protections, accept compulsory private arbitration or surrender access to a competent court. Applicable consumer protections and court jurisdiction depend on the transaction and your location; these terms do not replace them.
Safe and intended use
Use lanterns according to their stated source and restrictions. Candle holders require a separate suitable candle, a stable nonflammable surface and continuous supervision of a burning flame. Battery models are for sheltered temporary use and must be brought indoors afterwards. No permanent installation, waterproof rating, landscaping service or structural load advice is included.
For planters, inspect drainage, protect the supporting surface and verify any rail can safely support the total planted weight. Empty weights are not planted weights. Contact us before using damaged glass, hooks or electrical parts.
